Where to find us
Thassos is only accessible by boat, since there is no airport on the island. The boats depart from the mainland ports of Kavala or Keramoti and arrive on the island at either Skala Prinos or Limenas.
From Kavala
The ferry from Kavala runs to Skala Prinos and has a journey time of one and a quarter hour with a maximum of 5 sailings per day in the summer. When you arrive at Skala Prinos you will take the ring road and travel in a clockwise direction (following signs for Limenas/Potamia/Panagia). Alyki is, approximately, a 50-minute driving distance.
From Keramoti
From Keramoti port the ferry boat arrives at Limenas (Thassos Town), the capital of Thassos Island. The journey time is 35 minutes and there are regular sailings, normally every half an hour during the summer. From Limenas, follow the signs from the ferry port to Potamia/Panagia. From there, Alyki is approximately a 35-minute driving distance.
By Plane
The closest airport to Thassos is Kavala Airport (Megas Alexandros Airport) which is close to Chrisoupoli just 17 km’s from the port of Keramoti. There is an all-year-round daily service to Athens and during the summer it hosts charter flights from all over Europe.
